I'm not convinced that this offer isn't targeted. It doesn't display when I log in and the call centre had no idea about it.

I wouldn't want to transfer 100k in points and find out that the bonus didn't apply......

Either way this bonus does not apply.

That's interesting, base on 99% of QFF credit cards are direct earning cards, so no bonus for them, which only leaves AMEX platinum charge card & Citi business are eligible for this offer???

Same here.

I'm not inclined to transfer unless the bonus is in place for me. In feedback to Qantas around the removal of online booking of ASA's I indicated I wouldn't make any further bulk transfers of points from a non-direct sweep card into my account until the problem was rectified. In this case, I would look at doing a transfer if there was a bonus in place, as the benefit is substantial, but I don't want to break my stand if it is only a possibility that I might get bonus points.
I've taken a screen shot of the bonus screen as a standby and the small print isn't clear on whether it is a targeted offer. The url isn't a unique url customised to a frequent flyer account number and is viewable even when you aren't logged in to Qantas, this makes me suspect it may be available to all.

That, and the Corporate Amex with the Spirit program.

Typical QFF though, the email starts off with "You have previously enjoyed the benefit of transferring credit or charge card rewards points to Qantas points...", a benefit which QFF denies to 99% of card holders who are forced into a "direct sweep" arrangement.

EDIT: Now that I have read the whole way through I can see that the T&C below has already been posted.

I haven't read through the whole thread so apologies if this has been posted, but based on the questions recently posted I don't think it has.

Direct sweep cards are not included in the offer. I received the targeted email, which has the following stated in the fine print:

"This offer is not applicable to any card products listed at qantas.com/cards, or other credit or charge products where the Card Partner automatically transfers your credit or charge card points to Qantas Points on your behalf on a monthly basis."

So therefore it only covers the Amex Platinum charge, Centurion charge, and the other spirit card mentioned. There is also a "secret" Amex platinum credit card that provides Ascent Premium rewards but is no longer available. I don't remember the name of it but know someone that still has one.

I'm not aware of any other provider that offers a non-direct sweep card - which makes this a very targeted offer!

Just transferred 100k from my amex for hopefully a lazy 15 k profit. Suits me not being applied to direct sweeps as my anz card gets sweeped tomorrow so it would be touch & go which got the 15%

K

I am in the same position with an ANZ card with $1470 on it direct sweep but I just received 80k Amex points as a platinum sign in bonus so these should turn into 92k as long as this other sweep doesn't count me out.

Right on the numbers, but it's definitely still worth considering your options in other programs... I personally would get better value out of 80k with KrisFlyer than 92k with QFF. Which I only really gave serious thought to after the demise of online UASAs and PASAs.

To be honest I only plan to have the card for 1 year (to get the 80k points to replace the points my girlfriend used of mine for our around the world trip next year, and for the airline benefits due to the fact we will be travelling for just over 6 months), so I will have to transfer them anyway by this time next year and certainly won't be using them by then. All my other points go to QFF and the only other points I have are Virgin - a grand total of 5714 after being a member since 2006 (and no redemptions) and 9174 left over with AA after buying some points over Christmas / New Year 2013-14 for my trip to the US / UK earlier this year.

I should have enough points for another around the world trip after the big one next year. However I will have very poor status in the Leave from Work awards program!!

Fair enough. Just that other potential uses include flying to Europe on Malaysian, or transferring points to VA to get your current total up to something that can be used for a reward. And lots of others.

Just over 80k on Krisflyer will get you from SYD to TYO in first class, versus 72k for business on QF.

Have they removed the page off the website? I saved it and the T&C made no mention of exclusions. If you post something on your front page... it isn't targeted.

Anyway. Yes personally still wouldn't be worth it. The value in QF is soooo far behind, a 50% bonus might make it marginal. 100% fine, acceptable. Compare to any other option from Amex MR and they're pretty much the worst.

Will allow the <1% of my spending that goes onto a direct sweep card continue to QF. Unfortunately the market isn't cluey enough and its too easy for banks to just offer the direct sweep & no other airlines. Pity.

I have only seen this offer on the website, not via email. But couldn't find the link again earlier today. It was definitely showing when not logged in, as one of the banner ads on the main page.

Below is a copy of the email I received:

I don't think it is targeted as I didn't get an email but transferred some AMEX points to QFF and got the 15% bonus.

Anybody have success with this offer if they transferred two days earlier? ( for example)Anybody write and got a response?

Did your bonus points post with your transfer?

My email says could take up to 10 working days after the offer closes

Transferred 10,000 points from Mrs deka2"s CBG, which landed today.
