Morning all,

I have just come accross something strange. (i think)
Heading off the LA from Mel on Sunday Nov 3rd. It has a departure time of 1120 am
I flew to LA last week and departure time was 0915 am. Now, I was going to leave on Sat 2nd November and just realised the departure time from MEL states
1015 am. That is 3 different times in a month. I'm aware daylight savings starts this Saturday night, but I have NEVER left to fly to LA at 1120 am.

Anyone have any ideas :confused::confused:.
Cheers

Dmac

Daylight saving ending in the states and starting here?
Schedule changes due to traffic around either MEL or LAX?
Favorable / Unfavorable winds affecting incoming / outgoing aircraft...

Take your pick...

I believe daylight saving ends in the US that weekend, so from the start of AEDT until 2 November QF 93 departs MEL at 10.20 arriving LAX at 6.40 and after 2 November it departs MEL at 11.20 and still arrives LAX at the same time.

Combination of the start of DST in Australia and the end of DST in LAX? And perhaps one week where there's an overlap ??

It's still showing as a 9.15 departure for my booking for early April 2014, although I think it will be the same time difference as at 8 Nov.

Damn - means I still have to get up at OMG o'clock for the connecting flight :(
