QF9 20/01/22 Rewards Upgrade chances?

Hello flyers!

Booked in Flex Economy (H) on QF9 on 20/01/22, and just put in an upgrade to P.E and Business with points as a Gold FF, ideally hoping to score a business upgrade, but will settle for P.E.. Agent on the phone said there's no rewards seats available, but just wanted to gauge my chances of scoring the upgrade (as I would very much like to not relive the trauma of an even-longer west-bound flight in coach, with the post-holiday come-down/back-to-work scaries, after 20 gruelling hours in a tiny seat on QF10 couple weeks ago - TL;DR supposed to have a middle seat free but my neighbour (supposedly) in the window insisted on sitting in the middle seat for the entire flight like a psycho, an orchestra of, adorable but screaming children that would have given the best surround sound system a run for its money, with the finishing touch of a constant lingering scent of vomit)

EF is showing quite a bit of availability, but no U seats. Anyone with experience got any hacks/tricks to monitor any changes in likelihood of U seats opening up closer to departure time? See EF screengrabs attached. All g if not, at least I hope this was an entertaining story/episode of the sitcom that is my life.

Potentially relevant(?): have actually had quite a bit of luck previously with Points upgrades (from saver to business) (and comp upgrades/re-routes) as Silver, just before qualifying for Gold on the cusp of Ms.Rona's World Tour

Also, please relocate if this is in the wrong forum, couldn't find the upgrades/rewards one. lol.

You can try an expert flyer alert for U greater than 0.

Not sure what else - those loadings four weeks out indicate a lightly loaded flight.

Since upgrades for international sectors are processed from 1 week prior to departure (for P1) and I think it's within 24-48 hours for Gold, even if a U seat opened up in the meantime it's not relevant for upgrades as it would not be processed until the upgrade processing departure window.

So you'll just have to cross your fingers and wait for the text.

That said, given the overall situation and uncertainty the chances are likely quite good.. there is probably not a lot of extra paid Business Class flyers that would front up in the next 3 or so weeks given the situation in the UK, winter travel season, and all the uncertainty.
