There's something about this flight that seems strange. It's a 763 (usually a 738) and every seat is either selected or blocked out n EF. Two different staff at the premium desk couldn't allocate a seat for me.

When I go to online check in I get the message that my seating is not confirmed (or similar). I'd love to think that this is an op up but the whole things seems a bit unusual.

Could there be a big tour group warranting the bigger aircraft?

I have seen the 763 make an appearance on QF804 a few times over the past few months.

It's also scheduled on Wednesday, but again there are lots of seats blocked out.

Strange. Maybe it's blocked because they haven't confirmed if it'll be a 763 or a 734/738?

E/F won't return a seat map; plenty of Business seats J9 D9 I0 U9 Y9 B1 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 G0 E0 .

The configuration is currently 30 J Millennium ...

Is that ML-CB? Seems they put it on on a Monday during sitting week to get all the pollies to Parliament on time. Frequently blocked in J due them all being CL.

Scheduled 763 operated this morning, departed 10 minutes late, arrived 20 minutes late.

This flight is regularly 763 Mon-Fri and plenty of freight is generally carried.

The flight was a bit over half full. Nothing obviously different but just a bit weird yesterday with all seats either allocated or dropped out.

Maybe they were restricting the load to ensure it matched the crew available.
