QF802 PER - MEL 26th May

Well the 743's and QF are at it again in Perth. Today I recieved a call at 1000 hrs from QF telling me that QF802 was now leaving at 1345hrs not 1300hrs and I could get to the airport later. On arriving at the airport the flight was shown as boarding at 1245. WTF I thought, at checking the staff said the flight was trying to be pushed out earlier as it had got in earlier than thought. So I raced through security up to the QP for a drink. ANyway then we get told there is a brake problem and we will now board at 1430. They got many pax on the flight that left inbetween this time.

1430 came and went, and they started boarding QF768 to MEL at 1455l with no word on QF802. Eventually they announced that QF802 was not going to be flying on the scheduled plane but we would all be put onto another plane, but they did not know which one or when. There was no offer made to get us onto QF768, even though I was previously told by QP staff there was plenty of room on that flight.

We will wait and see what QF does for us to get us to Mel.

Announcment now that the plane will be replaced with the 743 coming as QF577 from Sydney, and we will board at 1645, for a 1710 departure.

I wonder what will happen with QF566 PER-SYD, maybe light loadings.

Well it is now 1640, and our plane is now having to be towed from the international terminal, so it can have our baggage loaded on. Not sure whne the sydney flight became and international one. Me thinks they shafted us, and the turned the 743 around back to SYD and we will be on another plane, probably the one that broke down last week.:evil::evil:

I am watching them pushing the 743 from Saturdays breakdown acroos from the INT. Lets hope we dont have to sleep on the plane overnight here in Perth, bracuse everyone goes home.

And QF 566 PER-SYD, also a 743, was cancelled yesterday (25 May). I wonder if they will last a few more weeks until the A332s come on.

I popped into the QP for a quick WIFI hit after the BNE PER flight late this afternoon, overhead the desk saying to not put anyone on either flight bound for Melbourne, best of luck.

OK the saga continues we boarded at 1750. We pushed back at 1830, got as far as the runway, and the Captain told us we had to go back to the terminal.

At the terminal they wouldn't let anyone off. At about 1940 they let us off, and told us the plane was now scheduled for 0130 tomorrow morning. There are many really angry people here trying to get onto other flights.
