I have received one a few hours ago, and my wife received one this morning - both WA time…If anyone hasn't received a notification from Qantas yet could they please post here to help us get an idea of how widespread the hack is?
Can't win 'em allThis thread is for those who have not received a notification.
There is another thread for those who have - whether it be the generic notification that QF has been hacked or notification that your information has been compromised: QANTAS Cyber Incident
So much for @RSD's worthy attempt at separating the two notification types...![]()
We've all been Joyced again. He's the gift that just keeps taking. From the page they put up about it:
Fat lot of good any of the above will do when you've outsourced to the cheapest bidder offshore who's targeted by criminals from anywhere in the world...
The exec's who were part of the offshoring craze in the past decades should be brought back and held responsible for these, and all the hefty bonuses they received when they saved so much money for these companies should be used as part of the victim compensation payouts.
I’m being facetious because I emailed a complaint to them about it a couple of days ago. The response was so useless it could have easily come from a hacker. Or Qantas…BTW why green tier? I must admit that I haven't looked too closely at green tier.
the lowest form of wit, as they sayI believe it's more of a sarcastic reference to Green Tier being made virtually unobtainable for residents in certain northern territories of Oz.
The QFFF number isn’t the important part… that’s easy to protect. It’s the DOB that’s being handed on a platter, with address and phone and email. How feasible would it be for them to simply roll everyone over to 6 million new numbers? Had to get a new licence after the optus fiasco but that was reimbursed.
