I think you should be able to get it. The premium line are reservations as opposed to frequent flyer so probably aren't fully up to date with the little intricacies

Tried to get on both legs of QF5 SYD-CGK, CGK-SIN but no dice. There was no way Qantas could book me on both legs on the same ticket apparently. Pushed for Original Routing Credits and this time all good, a note has been added to the booking. So I'm now booked on QF35 on the 25th which for now is looking like a refurb'd J bird. Time will tell i guess :) Thanks again everyone.
