I am always amazed at how many people frequent the first class lounges around the world. They are always full (well mostly) i have QF 108 out of LAX tonight and the lounge is full. considering there is no first class on the plane that must mean an amazing no. of passengers are WP1 or WP. Anyone with any ideas or stats. Just thought it interesting!

Leaving from TBIT? Without knowing, there may also be BA and CX flights departing sometime soon.

The % will vary depending on each flight but anecdotal evidence suggest the longer haul routes have a higher percentage of elite travellers simply from the number of regulars who travel, internationally LHR and LAX would fall into this as would PER domestically, while CBR would also be an obvious candidate for APS/Politician traffic. Outside of that I would imagine it varies considerably, many of us have had the lonesome lounge blues at one time or another.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Don't forget that QF12 and 94 both with F cabins and plenty of non-F WPs depart before QF108 does.. the current TBIT J/F lounges are relatively small anyway.

WPs are easy to find: just look for the overweight males rubbing shoulders in the front row of economy.

WP1s are even easier to find. Like vegans, you don't need to do a thing, they'll just you.

A few years ago, before Everyday Rewards, when QFF had ~6 million members it was mentioned there were ~60,000 QFF members, or 1%, with Platinum status and above.

FWIW it is not uncommon to see >20 Platinums on some of my BNE-SYD flights on a Friday afternoon/evening.

On a recent Friday afternoon flight from PHE to PER, the checkin lady told us 3/4 of the flight were SG and above.

2 weeks ago CSM told me there was 79 WP's on a flight & no WP1's, & mentioned that the WP1's would get a greeting in that case (for obvious reasons, hense which is why he was saying g'day to me) Didnt say what route, but happen to mention it when he said g'day. Those darn WP's are everywhere! LOL

I resemble that remark

QF12 & QF 94 PAX should have been long gone at the time of posting.

Agree, was on 108 a few days ago, there were only about 10 people in the F lounge once the earlier flights have departed.

The CSM on 108 (23/11) said there were 17 WPs (incl. Wp1s) on the flight. Seemed a little overwhelmed and no greetings. Considering guesting, may explain the crowd in the Flounge.

the mining flights are often completely full with plats and plat 1's. The Moranbah flights ex-BNE have been known to be plat only

On a couple of recent domestic flights (767) the staff ipad has been visible when boarding.
One page shows pax numbers, split (from memory)
VIP / CL / WP1 / WP / etc...

On this peak hour MEL-SYD - I noticed WP1 was 12 and WP was 34
