Some great news for the Bendigo to Sydney route. From May 24, Qantas will add an additional daily return service - meaning there will be 14 return flights each week.
These extra flights have been in the system for a while now but the start date has been continuously pushed back throughout the last few months, most recently to July. The fact that they've now bought it forward and announced it shows there is great confidence in the route and also means there will be more capacity than pre-COVID.
Looking at the schedules, it appears the Q200 will be doing a bulk of the flying until later on this year when the Q300 takes over.

Central Victoria's tourism and business sectors are celebrating after Qantas says it will soon add more than 500 seats to the route each week.

The Council press release mentions that the Saturday QF1407 will arrive BXG at 5:15pm (instead of 8:20pm) and the Sunday QF1408 will depart BXG at 9:15am (instead of 6:35am), but I can't see these times in the reservation system yet so maybe they are still finalising the adjustments in the system. If that's the case, might give the overnighting crew on Saturday an opportunity to enjoy some of the great food Bendigo has to offer!
