From memory flights continuing after Dubai on EK don't have a QF flight number.

It depends where in Europe you're going. Some EK flights have QF codeshares, others don't.
Ours wasn't. I was correct in what I said from our experience and booking.
Thanks. I checked and our flight into Europe was booked via Qantas but EK code share after Dubai.

No you aren't correct in your statement in general. In some cases you are only able to book the EK code on the leg out of DXB, but it doesn't mean that it relates to other destinations and/or the lounge access page statement is a red herring.

Qantas needs some form of government approval/air rights for the code

The answers are within your post!I have not read all 28 pages to this thread, so my questions might have been answered in an earlier post.
Does this mean the new QF1/2 flights will replace the QF5/6 flights?
• The QF1/QF2 A380 service will operate Sydney–London via Singapore, which is an upgrade of an existing Sydney–Singapore A330 service.
• The daily QF81/QF82 Sydney–Singapore A330 service will not change.
And if so, does that free-up an A330 for use elsewhere?
We were hoping to get FF tix Sydney-Dubai-Nairobi next August (esp with those seats opening up now) with our many Qantas points. So question is: what is the best way to get to Nairobi now? Will we still be able to get Emirates seats using Q points? Using the Emirates FF program gives less points exchange, is my understanding.
