Hi all,

I am looking at travelling SYD>LAX in July.

I am looking to purchase the ticket as SYD>LAX in PE and LAX>SYD in Y (sale fare) as it's too expensive to get both legs in PE at the moment.

If i decide to upgrade my return ticket at a later date, will it only be the fare difference I must pay plus the change fee?

Are the PE fares currently higher due to the double SC promo and might it be better to simply wait?

The advertised fare for July is $3569 return which is much more reasonable. I wouldn't pay 4.4K (I paid 6K for business SYD-SCL-BOG and LAS-LAX-BNE-NTL).

Are you dates fixed? If not might pay to look at alternative dates, even just a few days might drop the price.

instead of fly QF, SYD/LAX/SYD why not flying

QF SYD/LAX & FJ LAX/SYD. Ticket will be much cheaper & can bid to upgrade to business class on way home. Last time I looked, the minimum bid for LAX/NAN from any fare, was AU$865.

or fly FJ both ways. Better than QF & have option to stopover in fabulous Fiji.

Yes change fee plus fare difference (between what you paid and the PE fare at the time of the change - which could be higher than what the difference is now)

Double SC promo has ended. Likely the day you want is a high demand date.
