Now, I'm aware that about the rules - have to be a QF flight number and only to certain locations.
My interest is that my partner and I want to fly to JFK next year and do it in EK A380 business (yes I know it's a lot further, but I'm not a fan of QF business and new seats won't be in the A380 or 744 ...) yes, petty to want the stand up bar so much... but that's not the point.
If we were to book SYD-DXB-JFK rtn on the Emirates website, would we get points and SC for the SYD-DXB route as I know there is a QF code-share, but they do not show that number when you book. Have to forgive my ignorance if there is a stupidly obvious answer.
