Morning team,

I am doing a Virgin Voyages Iceland-Greenland-Canada-NY cruise next September and am awaiting the 355/330 day booking windows to open. Have a diversified portfolio of points so can try a few different options to avoid Y flights.

Current plan is VA1 J award SYD-DOH, QF award on AY DOH-HEL and AY award on AY HEL-KEF, then VA award EWR-xx_-SYD on UA.

I know that QF don’t have DOH as a point of sale for bookings and aren’t friends with QR, but has anyone successfully redeemed QF points for DOH-HEL on AY?

I’ve tried the usual multi city trick which allows DOH for second sectors but can’t see anything.

Should I as a NB try my luck with 131131?

The fallback is SQ SYD-SIN-LON in Y+, then BA LHR-KEF in J.

Thanks 🙏

Yes, have redeemed QF points for that exact flight August 2025 - 2 seats in J. Call them up if you see availability for your flight (I used AS website to search)
