QF Outage means QF Lounge Passes cannot be linked to a booking until 23rd May - need to call

This morning I contacted QF Frequent Flyer centre after experiencing a problem of 2 x Complimentary passes not appearing in my account.

I was lucky as I only waited 15 minutes before speaking to a lovely agent in the Philippines.

Allian told me that yesterday the call centre received a Memo advising QF was experiencing an issue which will not be fixed until 23rd May 2022 and its applicable to all of Qantas partners who issue complimentary lounge.

The telephone call resolved the issue and my wife simply presents the following email to gain access.

In typically QF fashion, NO compensation for losing 45 minutes of my day and the pass will be deducted from my account once the issue is fixed.

I also spoke to ANZ Frequent Flyer Credit Card call centre. They really appreciated being informed QF was experiencing a issue as they had received no communication from QF of the problem.

You have to laugh at Qantas IT system.
You're right, but the reality is, it shouldn't be like it is. The thread running today which revealed serious breaches of data privacy and security, shows their IT systems/operators are hopeless. They're often referred to as the work experience kids, and you can see why...
 
Annoying as that must have been, it doesn’t seem to be an issue for existing passes. I can see my comp passes (from PC) and the ability to link them to my future bookings.

Perhaps the thread title should be changed to “New“ QF lounge passes?

How do you define new?

As per the email I received from QFF, the issue started Anzac Day 25th April which on next Monday was 3 weeks ago.

Would need a Mod to alter the thread title effective 25 April.

Feel sorry for the general public whom have requested passes and cannot link and therefore are not aware of the QF IT failure.
