Thems the breaks. Welcome to my world.

Also avoid 23E on the same aircraft. Even though you think you have an aisle seat you could end up in a middle seat if the aircraft is substituted late in the piece. :-|

My flight tomorrow doesn't even have a 24F, so if you got that seat and they swapped configs to a non 24F plane, who knows where you would end up!

Knowing me I would get the smoking section with 360 degree views.

Checked in for tomorrow's flight: pre-allocated 23K, with the seat next to me and the row behind "taken". Nothing much greyed out except the exit rows behind.

I have been pre-allocated 37D for tomorrow's flight and there are only 2 seats not greyed out in the forward WHY cabin.

When did you OLCI. I was Seg # 18 for mine (ended up with a vacant seat next to me)

In row 23?

I used OLCI at ~T-20 hours and I was seq #16. Best I could do was change to 29J from original 37D and then 28B at the gate even though there was 4 aisle seats vacant further forward.

Not having status and checking in late I could have got 26D easily with a spare seat next to me. Makes a lot of sense to me....

For my flight this evening, I OLCI'd at T-23:58, Seq #3, and got 26K on international config 767, with everything forward greyed out. Since then I've moved to 25A (right behind the crew capsule).

JohnK, I reckon you have the bad luck to select the flights CL like, and you're after an aisle seat (my preference is forward window for domestic - my international preference is aisle).

Unless they're after you:shock:

And just to prove all my theories on seat allocation wrong I checked in last night at very close to T-24 hours (probably missed by <1 minute) and was pre-allocated 25D with 23DE available (int'l configuration 767) and snagged 23D. I would have been happy with original seat allocation. Got seq #4. This is a peak hour flight as well on a Friday night so not sure what is happening.

By the way I would not be surprised if there actually is something in my profile, call it sabotage if you like, bringing me down to the equivalent of a Gold or Silver. Either that or a classic example of my extreme bad luck on show....

John, maybe you should give the A330's a miss for a while also:rolleyes:
Believe it or not but I bring other people luck wherever I go. I must absorb all the bad luck away from them. :-|

Have they finally discovered the reason for your bad luck??
Unless there is an afterlife I will never really know the reason behind my extreme bad luck. It may well be someone's idea of a practical joke or if you believe in previous lives possibly me in a previous life was very lucky and wanted to know what life would be like with extreme bad luck.

No OLCI this morning :(

I was able to select the flights but once I asked to check seats it cr4pped itself :(

wijomas - as an NZr, not use to the 767s, but I guess you now have the 320s to get used to.

Down for me today for a dom flight just booked for tomorrow.

Seats is showing - but just lets me select window seats (Error msg of not available under 24hrs for morning flight, and not available fullstop for return)

Not even a greyed out OLCI symbol however.

Back up at 4pm.
Interestingly checked in for my 7pm return (4 seats greyed out).
Allocated 25F, switched to 23A. (767 with 23,24 middle missing).

So OLCI at T-27hrs, and only Seq 3

QF site down yesterday whilst I'm trying OLCI - said it was under heavy demand.

I got through by "manage your booking" without logging in and scored my B738 4A again:D

Working OK this morning

OLCI not avail for my 1430 SYD MEL flight tomorrow... anyone else with issues...

Is it the first leg of your itinerary? There is a known issue at the moment where you can check-in for the first leg but no further legs.
