Long time listener first time caller.

Is it really true that as P1 the guesting policy that applies to me is more restrictive than the policy that applies to non-QF OWEs?

As it was explained to me, as a P1 my guest must be on the same flight as me ... but as a OWE of any other airline, they can be travelling on any one-world flight?

It is a bit ambiguous on the lounge website, so I thought I would ask the brains trust:

1. Is this really true?
2. If so, has anyone had a reason from Qantas for this policy?

I cant find the thread where this came upa few months ago. But essentially you are a OWE when on a qantas operated and marketed flight.

But when on a codeshare flight for an airline that isnt one world you are a qantas platinum. Eg EK flights with a qantas codeshare you are allowed one guest who must be on the same flight.
But say you are on an AA flight using the QF flight no. Or a nornal Qf flight your guest can be on any one world flight. As that is one world operated and marketed

Expect to get push back if on different flights and have the rules ready. If i find the thread there this came up ill link it.
