Having the option of Select on Q Eat for Y is an improvement.

Is it? I wonder how much extra work it will be for the crew?

Will the crew have a list and have to match each passenger with their meal? What happens when your choice isn't loaded - bad enough when those who've ordered vege meals don't get them, but image when 30, 40 or 50 people don't get what they ordered?

What if there's a nice seat further down the back with a spare in the middle? Do you have to forget about taking that because your meal is matched to your seat?

nice idea though.

Even on Business when I have preordered my meal the crew have asked what I wanted, when I say I preordered they reply that maybe I have but they haven't looked at the list.

All good points. I think it's going to be horrendous for the cabin crew to execute well in Y.
