Re: Autumn menu

Without the FLounge I would never have known how well champagne goes with eggs Benedict

Re: Autumn menu

I am taking partner for their first SYD T1 F Lounge Visit on Tuesday. I am hoping this is going to be what I need to convince them DONE4s annually are a good thing.

Make sure you have enough time to truly soak it all up! :)

Anyone had the pork - how spicy is it?

Just having right in front of me (sorry, don't have the app so can't attach pics): Not spicy as in hot at all, rather full of spice as in fragrant. I always find it funny that the English language doesn't differentiate between these terms, must have to do with that minted peas heritage ;)
It actually reminds me strangely of that NP fragrant duck pie I had in the Dom J lounge the other day, tastes almost exactly the same (minus the yucky duck meat, luckily).

Just about to get my facial and then I'll try the Wagyu Brisket sandwich :)

Sorry for the bluriness, I thought it was in focus but you can just make it out in the second one..

So out of the Bollinger and Taittinger I preferred the T, but the Bolly was still nice. The French martini trumped them both I have to say!
I had the salt and pepper squid which was good but slightly oily and after all the hype, was not as brilliant as I thought it would be. That's not to say I wouldn't have it again.
The crab was quite refreshing (served cold):

The pork was amazing (the best by far):

I was also really impressed with the harissa that was served with the tenderloin and chips. Only ever read about it but after having it for the first time I will definitely look out for it whenever I go out to eat.
Pavlova in a glass was exactly what I thought it would be however parts of the meringue were very crunchy. Some may prefer that I guess.
Didn't have enough room for the banana cheesecake or apple and rhubarb crumble :(

All in all, a very nice visit and will look forward to my next trip which will be a few months away. That will be a morning flight so I can sample the breakfast menu. No wonder why you guys like doing the JQ35/36 F lounge runs!!

I was Flounging in MEL today as well. Like Kangol I enjoyed the crab and the pork tenderloin. The cheese plate, however, was not really up to scratch. But can't complain since it was very nice overall to go to the plane in a very pleasant haze, nothing could upset me.
