Hi. I have booked a return ticket to NY using Qantas FF points. First leg is Melb - LA on QF93 and then QF107 onto JFK. Unfortunately, I could only get economy seats on these flights and was wondering if there is anyway to find out if I can upgrade to business or PE if available, even though I've already booked my seat.

Good news is that I'm flying First back to HKG on Cathay then Business back to Sydney so I can't complain. I would prefer to fly in more comfort to NY seeing as I have meetings scheduled the next day!

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Flight Upgrade Awards are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. Flight upgrades are not available on Qantas & Partner Classic Awards or airfares booked in E, N, O, P, Q or X class, which includes some Red e-Deal fares.

So the answer would be no, sorry:(

You can't upgrade as such but you can CALL QFF to get them to cancel and rebook if seats become available. Just call QFF ad see what they can do to help.

If award seat become available in a higher class on your flight before the day of travel you MAY be able to rebook to the higher class.

You will need to contact QFF and request this.

Don't simply cancel as this is fraught with issues.
