This is a bit of a cross over question relating to Qantas and BA.

My parents live in the UK are BA Avios members however after one BA flight and one QF flight they are going to proceed to fly with the Red Roo when they visit Australia (once a year, mostly in J class). My question is now that they have accrued 80,000 odd Avios points how/what is the best way to use these points with QF? They definitely don't want to fly BA again.

I have looked at reward flights etc but have no idea what the most productive way of using them is. Any suggestions would be much appreciated?

I have now set them up with QF FF accounts but i'm pretty sure i can't transfer the points is that correct?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this should go in the BA threads but i know that when I've asked here before i get loads of help!

No can't transfer points.

Qf flights can earn with either BA or QFF. It might be worthwhile to check the earning level for their usual class of travel on QF but crediting to BA. You might find that keeping the earn with BA is more better (to use the technical term)

I thought BA Avios could be used with fairly good value to book QF flights. But only from second hand reading around here not personal experience.

A couple of others might jump in who are experts at this stuff.
