QF Double Status Credits May 2026

I posted the below in the Status Run Master Thread, my view is anything below $4 per SC is worth considering.

"Melbourne to Brisbane return in Business - one way paid, the other way points - works out at $3.96 per SC if booked during this DSC promo window. Struggling to find better earn rate for domestic routes out of Melbourne.

$698 + 29,000 points business return for 176 SC.

I believe 120 SC for the paid flight and 56 as a PC member for the classic reward flight. Please correct me if I'm mistaken."
Reasonable value, but your calculation of $/SC doesn’t seem to apply any cash-equivalent value to the points used for the award flight.

At say 1c per point that’s $290.

So $/SC more like 5.61.

Though perhaps you have an abundance of points and value them differently.

There’s an earn and separately a burn rate… the airline can adjust both
Currently, both are in the airlines favour

Others will likely disagree with me on this but I've never assigned monetary value to points in the sense of a point per $ value for either earning the points or using them. I've never bought points or wine or any other product with the specific aim of increasing my points balance.

I earn a decent amount of points easily enough from doing my normal spend or from business related travel and I've always used points for Classic Reward upgrades when I've travelled internationally for work.

Points just sit there, they don't earn interest. Their best use is to reduce your actual $ spend specifically related to flying, be that on Classic Rewards upgrades or booking paid/CR points combo flights.
