QF Double Status Credits February 2026 Promo

You so deserved that 😂

A question for the brains trust. My membership year ends October, currently PC status.

If I was to book a CR for December, what is the likelihood of getting double status credits (or any)? Or is it too much of a crystal ball type question.

Have you requalified for PC in your current membership year? If so, then pretty much certain to earn DSC on CR flown in December.

When I get given the quote, I would check to see if the points/taxes align with what is expected.
Although that's never happened to me - agent booking a different class than requested.

You're spot on. The points did seem a bit low. It was a multi-sector trip etc. I was also only half paying attention as I wasn't expecting the original call to take over an hour. So I was trying to get dinner ready etc etc. If I was more on the ball I would have caught it before the call ended. That's on me.

I am not aware of any rules that mean award flights should be priced per sector? @Matt Graham sorry to page you but did we miss anything?

(Married segment control that might block cbr-syd-cgk may be a different thing)

If I was going to book during this run while I'm PC, I would be looking at something like PER-ADL-MEL-CBR-SYD instead of per-syd...
I have just been playing with some bookings and found that the early stages of award flight bookings seem to be mis-pricing. For example, PER-SYD-MNL with the red-eye per-syd connecting to sameday syd-mnl shows as 49700 but when you get through to the booking page, drops to the correct 43200.

Still need to do some checking but hoping to line up a multi-day, multi-city dom + intl CR under DSC.

First flight tomorrow morning. How long till they land....
I’m sure you are aware, but for the benefit of any new to these offers the first flights in the flying window typically take longer to credit Double Credits but once they start posting it tends to be pretty quick, maybe about a few business days or so, after that.

I've only just qualified for PC, with the program being discontinued I don't know if they'll extend my benefits til Oct 27.

Yes. Not sure why this happens each time as it's a tried and true thing. Not concerned about this one but we have a similar QBR offer in play with the last flight being a month before our end of membership date for both of us. And it is needed.

By all reports, your benefits should remain valid through the end of your next member year. The open question for many is the point at which Qantas will prevent people from qualifying/re-qualifying for PC? This will be late 2026, but exactly when, we don't know. Those of us with October 1st (or later) member year commencements will likely be at risk of missing the chance to renew PC one last time. That being said, depending on what Qantas does with rolling some/all of the existing PC benefits into the various Status tiers, earning PC one last time may well become a moot point.

For what it’s worth, I have an October membership year end and I have already requalified for PCP. My membership card on the QF app says my PCP expiry is October 2027 so I expect I’ll have benefits at least until that time.

Seen a couple of price drops since the DSC promo started. The latest, a WTB-SYD return was $637 when booked on the first day, now dropped to $586 (Yeah I know it's a cough DSC run but I was going to book those flights anyway. Better 40 SCs than 20)

is there a maximum number of QF domestic segments that can be allowed on one (CR) ticket in one day? I think i can make schedules work with sufficient mct to do PER-ADL-CBR-MEL-SYD-BNE in one day with J cabins on all routes, and connecting to BNE-MNL the following day.

Will require some WP J seat releases but want to ensure it's feasible before calling to ask.

If you have to split it into two, CBR-BNE is in a real sweet spot as it's inside points band 1 by exactly a mile 😂

That makes sense.

Not that it matters, but did you "Qualify" or "Requalify".

Typically, the former gives you that status for the remainder of your Qantas "Year" in which you qualified, and your next Qantas "year".

The latter gives you that status for your next Qantas "year" as you had already qualified for this "year".

Either would have you with an expiry date of October 2027 in your case, but the former requires a minimum earn of 350,000 points, the latter, 700,000 points.

I don't think there is a maximum in the T&Cs however, in practice, availability and MCT does restrict what's doable . I've successfully put 3 then 4 segments per day on consecutive days:
CHC-MEL-SYD-BNE
BNE-SYD-MEL-SYD-OOL

I tried to add more by going via PER, DRW, ADL, etc., but couldn't make it work due to availability, transit times, etc., as I was booking at short notice.

Understand if the answer to this falls under the category of Fight Club (in which case I'd greatly appreciate a PM), but does anyone know through their personal experience what the TTL is (or can be) for booking an un-ticketed fully-flex fare through the Qantas Call Centre? For argument's sake, let's assume that it's a fare that technically doesn't need to be ticketed until shortly prior to travel (based on the fare rules).

ok. well it will probably depend on avails for the seat requests then, but in most cases it looks like I is available so there's some chance.
Toying with outbound as above (PER-ADL-CBR-MEL-SYD-BNE, BNE-MEL - 28+18+18+18+18+48) and inbound MNL-BNE-CBR-MEL-SYD-PER (48+18+18+18+38), dropping 288 or 576 during DSC.
227,800 points (at 1c/p, $2278) + probably $400 in charges each way, give or take $3100, so $5.38 per SC. It would also be gruelling.
Trying to decide whether making this dash is worth it to try to retain WP while the threshold is lower (before the upcoming changes).
Was really hoping to try some of the F lounges globally (e.g. DXB) while WP but alas travel has not allowed this.
