QF Double Status Credits February 2026 Promo

Does anyone know if the double status credit promotion applies for trips originating outside of Australia for travel TO Australia on Qantas metal?

All my trips originate from Singapore - under DCS, 3 return trips to Sydney via MEL or BNE or DRW guarantee me retaining Gold. ☺️

Just want to confirm that a booking via booking.com or trip.com qualifies - doesn't have to be done via Qantas.

Have a multi city trip upcoming that will be a combo of oneworld carriers but will have a few legs with a QF flight number and on QF metal. Assuming the QF flight number signifies that is Qantas marketed.

Now that DSC has pretty consistently been offered around the same time of year, for many years. It'd be interesting to see if Qantas has done any analysis in terms of what brings in more revenue for them - earning SC's or earning points.

I was doing some filing today and thought Id share an interesting data point. A DSC movie ticket purchased in:
  • 2020 for a session in 2021 cost $150.24 - this film no longer screens
  • 2024 (or 2025) for a session in 2025 (or 2026) cost $253.97 - a popular classic
But a movie ticket purchased this week for same popular classic has a minimum investment of $303. Its not just inflation because CPI is not 19%.
A session I’ve booked several times is only $186 ($178 with my Tier 2 QBR discount) but that’s up from $169 for several years running).

Does anyone know if the booking under the business still gets double points on top this time? Many thanks
I haven’t seen anything yet but keeping an eye out.

I’d forgotten about the 2x pts with QBR on previous offers and got some pleasant surprises off the back of some recent travels (and that’s before the QBR DSC offer kicks in).

Retained QBR Tier 2 a few months in but probably won’t get to Tier 3.

Thanks, QBR's offer normally lands at the same time. It seems that Qantas does not like it anymore and replaced that by hotel offer. But, keen to wait a bit longer to see if there any changes to pop up. Finger crossed

That is a very interesting tip. NZ status runs in my view, as a frequent visitor to Auckland anyway,, are way cheaper than going anywhere else in business.

NZ definitely the easiest as has lots of flights, regular sales and departing from a non capital city offers some fun routing options at no/minimal extra cost. But you need to move fast if you actually want to make a stay of it over a long weekend or during holidays vs a pure status run as cheapest J can

If you are looking for a relatively cheap 3-4 day weekend then there is some decent earn to VLI at the moment due to a sale even in school holidays.

MEL-BNE-VLI in J for $915 earns 240 SCs so $3.80/SC; so 480SCs return.
SYD-BNE-VLI in J also for $917 earns 200 SCS so $4.50/SC; so 400SCs return.

Yep its cheaper to fly from MEL than SYD right now.

The QF Hotels 2x points has been a regular feature of DSC promos for a while. As well as multiple x2 and x3 promos throughout the year.

Maybe because the QBR DSC is still in play thru to Oct 2026?

Other routes I'm booking on top of the DSC flights in case people want ideas other than Qantas:
...
DPS - KUL - BKK Malaysian airlines J return $1100, yields 240 SCs
Be very careful with MH business tickets.
The fare you have quoted is almost certainly "Business Basic" or Z class which only earns as flexible economy in QFF.
Still an inexpensive business seat (which earns little) is sometimes acceptable when wandering

Ah yes, thanks for pointing this out.

Regular business goes up to $1700 which maybe is a less exciting value proposition for 240 SCs, though not the worst either.

There are better ones out there. If you find the right timing, cathay on certain routes can be very good as well.
