Despite no email from Qantas, you can still register and receive the confirmation (can confirm it works)

Roll over date is 31st March, what are the chances of receiving the DSC before then if I book a flight for the 25th Feb?

As long as you fly before the end of March, it's fine. I used DSC last year on flights 28-29 October and my year ends 31 Ocotber. I did have to ring them but they knew I had flown and were very apologetic that it wasn't automatic.

It's unlikely that every QF member would get an email. You can't rely on getting an email for an offer like this.

That's why it's advisable to monitor communities such as this one or the QF website itself to look out for offers like these.

What's amazing is that they have not increased the prices (at least yet...). Looking at some domestics I was planning and they still seem the same. Good thing! :)

Qantas have worked out a good way of 'enhancing' double SC offers -- narrowing the promotion period (even if there will be another double SC offer later in the year).

It means you have to take a big risk with flights outside the promotion period.

Say I know I need to fly in September. Under the equivalent promotion last year, I would have been able to book that flight now with guaranteed double SC.

Now I have to hold out the hope for another double SC later in the year, but the risk is that work/personal circumstances will force me to book it before that second double SC offer or, if I do hold out, all the good flights will be gone.

Edit: Another disadvantage of the narrowing of the promotion period is shown below.

If you book a return flight that departs in July and returns in September, you only get double SC for the outward flight.

Indeed. A dilemma for me is whether to try to retain WP this membership year or hope there's another offer for me to get back up there next membership year.

We are looking to book our Business Class Round the World trip with Qantas leaving in mid July and returning home in mid September. Would the double status credits only apply to the outward journey on Qantas to London undertaken in July and not our return NY-LA-Brisbane on Qantas in September? Given it is one booking starting in July but ending in September we are not too sure if DSC would apply to the September legs.

That's right. It will only apply to the July flights.

Haven't received an invite for this one in email, and cant see a link on the Qantas home page - now I have to try and predict work travel to get permission to book, had planned to book an xmas escape but only valid for bookings til August.

And of course it doesn’t start until Monday!
I’ve got some last minute bookings I need for this Saturday and Sunday :(

Does anyone know if QFLINK flights are covered by this promotion? Need to do a run but one of the flights OOL>SYD is operated by QF Link.

Certainly no front page banner for me as well as no email - I would have no idea about this promo without AFF. It could take a day or two to show up who knows.

Is it safe to assume that - as for previous offers - we can purchase gift vouchers after registering, and that flights redeemed using those vouchers will qualify for DSCs (as long a travel is within 25 February - 31 August), even if those voucher flights are booked after the promo period (ie after 22 February)?

No. In fact the T&Cs specifically mention this scenario.
