Hi, we have a City Flyer BNE-SYD flight in under 3 weeks.
I was able to view seat map & select seats some time ago.
Now when I try to view & update seating, I just get the message: "We are not able to display the seat map ..."
This has been the status for 2 or 3 weeks.
Is it likely that the correct seat map will be loaded or are we on a Dash ;)

Dash 8-300 flights between Brisbane and Sydney happen infrequently, but more than you might think! I know a few who try to get on those flights for the comfort and service, about 20 mins extra flight time all up.

Can't see any between BNE and SYD in the last 2 months other then positioning flights. QF6713-QF6717 don't take revenue PAX as far as I know.

Just checked aircraft type for flight in MYB - it's now a 767 instead of 737.
May have to ring the sevice centre for new seat allocations (& hopefully not chargable if you can't do it online).
Thanks for comments.

I've had a similar issue with QF26 LAX-AKL on 26/4. I have seat assignments, but am now paranoid the aircraf will be changed or cancelled.

Hey Serfty, These flights Flight-plan, and fly as QantasLink flights, not sure if that helps your search. Whenever they do fly, the same aircraft will always fly the return leg as well, usually originating & terminating in Brisbane. The last time it happened was last week I am pretty sure, I will note the flight numbers for you next time!

As to when these flights get changed from a jet, who knows. A couple of weeks it might seem!

I have this issue quite a lot.

If an aircraft is substituted from a 767 to a 738 and/or 734 and a 738 is substituted to a 734 then one cannot pre-allocate seats online. This has been a known issue at Qantas for well over 6 months yet nothing has been done to fix it.

For those who are interested QF713, a Dash 8-200 is currently operating Brisbane to Sydney, returning to Brisbane as QF714. Interesting to note it is only taking 30 & 20 minutes longer for each leg compared to a jet respectively.

I'm not 100% sure that's a passenger service.

That flight is not in the system as a pax flight, all I can see for QF713 is a CBR to ADL service from this morning;

* OPERATIONAL FLIGHT INFO * QF 713 0 TU 19JUN
CITY INFO HOUR LOCAL)
CBR LEFT THE GATE 0601
TOOK OFF 0610
ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL 0715 ADL
ADL AIRCRAFT LANDED 0712
ARRIVED 0719

Certainly is taking passengers, Qantaslink flights 6713/6714. As my easlier posts noted, it happens rarely but it does happen.

Any reason why? Presume must be aircraft rotation or similar?

A Dash 8-200 only does about 250 knots. Sure it isn't a -400??

Slow old journey if it's the former.
