Hi All, after 25 years with QF Club I’m trying to decide whether to renew or not. I’m not travelling much at the moment very in frequent and am thinking of letting it go BUT my pride of 25 years is a sticking point. I would use my AFF 20% discount as I have past years it it worth hanging on? As it’s really only a donation to QF. Please be kind in your responses.

I’ve let both my FF Gold tiers lapse in the last few years (also after 20 odd years) simply due travelling less. Was tough but I got over it and I value the extra cash in my bank rather than blowing it on status runs to achieve a tier that I will barely use.

If you barely use it just get rid of it, especially if the infrequent times you visit you are faced with a busy lounge or average food.

If I were in your position @downundermm I would let it lapse.

$750 ($1,499 2 Yr renewal) per year is very steep, particularly if travel is very infrequent.

You could purchase a 28-day Flexible membership for $248 ($99 +$149 join fee) if you have trips upcoming, though you cannot guest if travelling with a partner/companion.

After 25 years, haw far off LTG are you? That’s an obvious turning point that can save quite a few bucks.

Or, do you earn a lot of points elsewhere beside flying? Points Club+ comes with complimentary QP but it is a LOT of points earn (350k and only 20k from flying). Unfortunately, the sun is setting on PC/PC+ towards the end of this year…
