QF classic reward earn on EK?

Hi folks,

Just booked MEL->DXB(J)->AMS(F)->GLA(J) for this weekend on the QF website using classic points. (Family emergency(ish), so consider myself lucky to have got a points booking at all at such short notice).

Noticed the flights are listing as EK/EK/KL.

I'm a points club member. Can anyone confirm I won't earn anything by attaching my QFF number to these flights as they're not QF coded? or is there a way to find if there's a QF flight number attached to the flight? If not, is there any other earn capability with another program? (Emirates say you earn skywards on ALL flights, but i doubt that includes classic rewards!)

You won’t earn anything on these flights. You can’t credit them anywhere else either as they are award flights

Thanks for confirming. I usually wouldn't expect to earn anything on a rewards flight, but the QF points club classic rewards earn has me a little spoiled after some flights earlier this year.

You basically need a QF flight number. Points Club and Plus members earn Status Credits on Qantas Marketed Classic Flight Rewards.

... and although the revenue booking on those flights may have a QF codeshare option, it's rare (if ever) that an award booking will offer a QF codeshare.

It's great you got premium cabin avail (specially F) at such short notice. Sorry to read of the family emergency though. This is the time points come into their own as being truly valuable and the ability to use when revenue would probably be crazy expensive even in Y this is a great result, even if no PC joy.
