I would appreciate any reviews on Row 13 QF A380 J
Its in front of lavatories but in the front cabin upstairs

Row 11 and 12 not selectable for me. (J sale, QF Gold)

Options would be either row 13 or the main J cabin rows 15 to the back of J

Row 13 by a long margin. Anything in "Emerald City" is better than the large main J cabin.

The mini cabin at the front of J. Highly prized seats, usually selectable only if you are OW Emerald.

Apart from row 13 which can be selected by OW Sapphire members. I much prefer "Sapphire Shed"! :p

Yep Sapphire Shed for me down the back near the dunny. While my wife scored a seat in Uptown F (P award). I might try to scam a visit to her during meal times. Will try the "dining for two" on the CSM

Edit: my wife is calling her cabin Filthy First. For the Filthy rich and because Im filthy about it!

She'll love F and fingers crossed you may be able to have dinner in her F suite with her.

Row 13 is fine - I've never had issues with noise from toilets / galley behind. Agree with others it is a much better choice than the main J cabin behind!

Row 13 is fine, did A&B with my father in November last year on QF2. Actually preferred it to 1A when I came back.

So why is Emerald City that much better in the A380 J cabin? I'm flying J on the A380 later this year for the first time, so I'm curious. Is it that the cabin is smaller and quieter, or something else?

Whilst 1A is number 7/8 on my list of F preferences, all of the F seats are well ahead of any seat in J.

It is quieter, and you get served faster with meals and drinks. (I'm sure most here fly QF A380 J more than I do so I am happy to be corrected by the more experienced travellers here.)

Totally agree. Mini-cabins all the way.
A little OT but I also recently flew J on a CX 77W mini-cabin 11K and it was equally superb.
The opposite of the mini-cabin is BA CW on a 777, the flying dorm

I actually enjoyed the J experience more than F tbh. The closet in A and the bedding drawer were being opened every few minutes (or so it felt like) whereas J seemed a lot quieter.
