Soon I will be travelling QF J in A380. Thanks to our company policy and I think the fare recently has become competitive, in the past they are always dearer than CX or AA J so I can pick their 1-2-1 cirrus rather than QF's 2-2-2, Flights will be QF 11 and 12. Just some quick questions and thanks in advance.

1. for the headphones, do I need an adapter for my QC25/35 ?
2. of course I have picked aisle, if I am sleeping like a dead pig, will the person next to me just jump over me, or are there some kind of courtesy protocol ?
3. I am over 6' and will the flat bed fit me ?
4. QF 12 will depart midnight, will there is a full dinner, or some kind of reduced meal ?
5. I assume QF 11 will be lunch and breakfast, and QF 12 will be dinner / supper and breakfast ?

Yep, still Skybed 2 with 2x2x2 across the front of the upper deck.

1. Yes, the adapter that comes in your qc35 case (bottom left corner in plastic).
2. Yes
3. I believe the Skybed 2 is just over 200cm long
4. From memory on QF16 in J we were offered a light dinner, not sure if 12 is diffferent leaving a little earlier. I believe they have food available on request, but also why not eat a proper dinner in the lounge before boarding? Usually much better..
5. The day flights usually have a lunch, snack, then breakfast service. Again I believe there are usually a light option available anytime.

1. Yes, you need a 2 prong plug. But QF do provide NC headsets in J. No idea how good they are. But if BYO you nee one.
2. They will have to jump over you. NO idea the protocol. I just step over and try not to step on them. There is a tiny gap sometimes that you can try to walk through.
3. No idea. The pitch is 78 inches. How many feet is that?
4. No it will be a supper service. Generally its assumed you eat before in the lounge. You are offered the meal to have it as a dinner or express sleep supper i think if you want.
5. Yes, i believe that is right.

See
which might help understand what its like on QF12. Dennis does great flight videos

Pick a seat in the middle pair if possible, that way you both have aisle access.

This is what you're after. I'm quite happy to jump over someone if they're asleep next to me, but there is no certainty you wont be disturbed.
To avoid that situation entirely being in the middle pair will allow you and your neighbour isle access so there will be no such interruptions.

Light dinner will be offered but many people tend to skip and maximise sleep.

This can be changed online.
now... not really, all U/A, as I am a lowly silver.

few days ago I can change via QF web chat, but now they are all restricted, so need to come back T-80..
at least I still have aisle seat !

Beware that there can be significant droop in the beds meaning they are not fully flat. Unlike other arrangements the foot part of the bed isn't fixed and the support has worn away over time (actually it happened fairly quickly).

I know there are a couple of options to fix this which others might chime in with.

Bed length... I'm 6'3 and it was ok, no need to bend the knees or sleep on my side. The major issue was the droop which thankfully was 'just' ok in my case.

There's only one 747 with the droopy skybed mk1s so your chances of getting that are low. Unless the skybed mk2s are now drooping?
I personally have no problem (I'm 185cm and 70kgs) stepping over the aisle seat when it's flat. I usually hold onto the hard shell of the seat in front (the pax in front shouldn't feel this) and step over.

The Droop is a well known problem with the MkII's

I standard corrected. Thankfully my last 4 QF J flights were in A330s and and 787s. :)

The skybed2 beds have been 'droopy' for years. Nothing new there. Well known problem with crew and the airline, but they have chosen, it seems, not to fix the problem.
