QF A380 Cabin - which section/seat is best?

I'm currently in 36J on the SYD-LAX in two weeks, thought the upper level might be a bit quieter?

Weighing up an exit row seat 35D, can also get exit row in 66K or 79H. Is the upper cabin a better choice?

On the way back 73B on the 747 based on a hunch that 73A wont get filled unless its chockers. Sitting at the back isn't an issue

Any feedback would be appreciated

Blu Jnr (QFSG) travelled in 36F SYD-SIN two weeks ago. Apparently very disruptive next to toilets. Made worse (for 36F) by centre row issues as well.

Quick exit row question. Row 66 is available, considering the A seat for wall-leaning ability. I've sat behind it, and looked at pics, but just want to check that leg room is ok. I know there's no cowling like on the 744...My other option is upstairs, row 35. 80A/K etc are already taken.

I've just allocated 50A/B for a SYD-SIN in a few months time. Has anyone had success allocating 50A and 50C with B remaining vacant? We're WP+SG....

There does look to be a fair bit of room in the forward row. The QF seat map shows 2 windows in Row 50. Is that right?

its a good seat for Y. Can get a little cold. You should get a shadow if not too heavy.

With 66A (& 66K) leg room is no issue as there is no protruding cowling.

IMHO, it's one of the better seats on the aircraft.

However, you may find it difficult to lean against the wall as it it 20cm+ away from the head rest. The fuselage curls up and away from the floor, only curving back in towards the upper deck.

Great, thanks. I'm not too worried about being able to lean, but its probably better than being in the aisle seat and being bumped by everyone. My other option are the upstairs exit row, but only the middle 3...

Give those u/d middle seats a miss or wear white socks.

66A is a great seat:
There is a very very limited view from the window, and you'll have to turn your neck a bit (where it would be uncomfortable for more than a few seconds) to look out it. With the seat reclined, you wouldn't gain much more of a view.

Here is a photo.

I've flown in 50C five times now and not once has there been an empty seat next in the row. Flights have been busy but not totally full. I sat upstairs last time in the front row of the economy section - better choice I thought.

Im in Row 32 to LHR and back in September, how did you find the leg room with the fixed floor to ceiling bulkhead in front of you?

Slightly more room than row 50 I thought. There's a middle row upstairs that has a missing row in front of it that would also give you extra leg room, but I actually like the bulkhead, and traveling with my partner it was perfect as it's a row of only two. I really liked not having another person in the row.

Hi All,

I have 24A in Y+ LAX/SYD/LAX coming up.
Has anyone sat in it? Whats the noise levels like? do I need to wear neon socks to stop people from treading on me?

Any other better seats in Y+ ? should i be happy where I am (given I usually just sleep form LAX/SYD) Or should i just get over my points spending aversion and put in for the 45k upgrade to J?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Some tall people have said 32 bulkhead seats have less leg room than they can get under a seat in a regular seat? I can get. 32 G - anyone have experience of this seat?
