QF 738's - The Curtain Is Back!

This is the case on some AA 757s.

I don't think that they would do it on 737s or A320s.
It is the case on some of the 767s which is my preferred aircraft type for domestic travel. Well until I get to fly the routes the A330 is scheduled to service.

Curtain was closed on QF510 this morning, SYD-BNE, 738.
I felt decidedly second class - particularly since I was in 4A, and could hear all the clinking of glasses and polite laughter from "the front".

I am very surprised that there has not been a serious bite on this thread (by anyone) ;)
I've only just bothered to readthis thread now ;)

wellcurtains must be out agan because they were open on a 738. but then a 6 am flight so perhaps they figured everyone would sleep anyway.

Personally i don't see the attraction of the front toilet. the crurvature of the fuselage makes it extremely difficult to stand and pee. You front sitters might like sitting down to p1ss, but I'm a real man. ;)

btw, can't be bothered to read the whole thread so if this has been mentioned please delete.

IME they only use the curtain on longer flights.

Most trancons are A333/A332 so no need for a curtain.

I stand to pee and I don't mind the curvature of the fuselage at all.

"real men" do sit at the front of the plane!!

I think we just like to "get off" quicker!!;)

I think we like to lead off rather than follow others.:D

Quite appropriately in this thread I'm pissing myself laughing at that comment! You obviously aren't referring to the pilots either!

I'm referring to the pax.... (specially me!!)

Nah, real men wear black with yellow and silver stripes.

Geezus there are some precious freakin people on here! Some people need to get over themselves and remember that at the end of the day it's just a bloody dunny.

To me it isn't about the dunny, it is about making a cabin environment just that much more quiet and trying to stop people constantly wandering up and down the isle. One of the many reasons people pay extra to fly business, even on domestic shuttles.

Heh, good point! :)

Just for the record, the only time I fly business is if I happen to get an OPUP. I don't really see the point on my regular flights (all 1.5hrs or less - and half of them don't have business class anyway!).

I would love to see a ban on NOISY children in J.

As for a total ban... Nah.

I have had flights where the adults were more annoying than the children.

In reality the curtains are located there so you can wipe your hands properly returning to your <J seat.

Doesn't it get the J FA going!!!!!

Completely agree:p

Short enough to use the front toilet while standing and issues with not being first off the plane.

sounds like short man's disease to me :p
