QF 50% SC bonus to HKG

MrsM just received a 50% bonus SC offer for flights to HKG. Need to book 23-29 Aug, fly to 18 Feb 18. Not sure if targeted. I did not get the offer.

Received the bonus offer also. Useless to me as QF does not fly PER-HKG in any sensible manner.....

PER does not even appear on the HKG offers page...

I also received the email. Considering that SYD-HKG is already only $568 return, QF must really be struggling to sell seats if they're offering 50% extra status credits as well!

ADL-BNE-HKG is currently selling for $584 return and would earn 135 status credits with this offer - that's $4.32/SC

Probably related to the increased competition from Virgin and their plan to add more routes.

Not quite DSC but got a 50% SC offer for myself and wife today, but it says fly to 'Hong Kong'.

Question is, in peoples experience does other QF flights receive the 50% SC if booked during the promotion period or specifically the flights listed in the email?

T+C's state:

An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas marketed and operated flight for travel between Australia and Hong Kong with a QF flight number (QF29/30, QF97/98, QF117/118 or QF127/128) on your ticket where Status Credits are normally earned

I got the same email and would like to know the answer to that question, also. I don't think I've ever received a SC bonus offer before that was for specific QF flights only.

Need a BNE-BKK return in November. This morning I was thinking about BNE-HKG//BKK-SYD on Zuji for $655 but need to make my own way HKG-BKK. Then I received this email.

Have registered just in case.

What other flights are you thinking about? Are there other flight numbers that travel between Australia and Hong Kong? If there are, I'd assume they'd also earn the 50% bonus.

What other flights are you thinking about? Are there other flight numbers that travel between Australia and Hong Kong? If there are, I'd assume they'd also earn the 50% bonus.

Yes they are clear, but we all know that sometimes what they have written and what actually happens are two different things

Ahh, that is true. I thought you were meaning there may be other QF flight numbers to Hong Kong!

Of course, if things happen contradicting the written T&C's but benefit the PAX , then the PAX should stay mum. If the variance is to the detriment of the PAX, then we only have the written T&C's to point to.

I received a double points offer with the same dates, no bonus SCs.
