The full 540 points would cost about $13k even with the 40% off.
I will get a soft fall to Gold aswell but doubt I have much use for it

But i do wonder if QR Golds have any more access to rewards seats?

I have 2 x J FRA-DOH-BNE rewards in June, and hoping to book further award seats for 2025.

Same as me.

BA Avios are in my wife's name so not worth transfer and cant buy Avios. Will try buying 1 qpoint and see how I go.

Good news on this, MrsMac has dropped to gold, and I expect I will be the same.
Bad news is that I can’t login and check my account as the OTP is not being sent. Anyone else experienced or experiencing the same?

I was able to log in with no problems.
Downgraded to Gold with 40 QCredits loaded and 4 lounge passes showing in my account.

Those 40 QCredits are good for an upgrade from Economy to Business from Australia to Doha. That’s mighty generous of Qatar Airways to soft-downgrade us without meeting the qualification criteria (from free Platinum status matched) and add 40 QCredits to our accounts.

I went to silver from Gold having purchased 1 Qpoint

Check your email. I had an issue a few days ago where my OTP wasn’t being sent by text but arrived as an email still.

Same here, I can't login to check. Tried logging in via both the app and browser and I am not receiving the OTP via SMS to my phone. I've received OTPs before to my phone so I know my number is definitely correct on their system.

Same. OTP going to email fine. Have a flight with QR AUH-DOH in F next week and then DOH-ADL in J a few days later so Platinum would have been handy for another week but can’t complain
