Qantas now have a domestic 4 day "Hello Summer Domestic" sale; sale prices are a little lower for some places (ie Syd - Mel) than normal - potentially due to recent 'industrial action'?
10 Jan through to 24 March for most routes, and then 1 May thru 17 June 2012.

A little slow off the mark using the vouchers tonight and the current sale has ended on me. I am in Brisbane and I did not realise it was ending Sydney time.
What chance of the sale being extended keeping in mind the last 37 sales have all been extended.

Looks like a sale has kicked off - Australia Day Sale.
Qantaslink prices look fairly decent for most locations, also some reasonable regular Qantas flights too.
Excludes the school holidays, but most locations have three sets of sale periods between the holidays (with the Aug/Sept block often a bit more discounted than the rest from my quick glances).
On sale until 30th Jan, so plenty of time to make up your mind.

Can anyone who understands these things predict when the next Qf domestic sale will be? I need the book a Syd-Cbr sector during the current double SC promo, and am not happy to pay $135 for a Y seat between Syd and Cbr!

From my experience sales generally happen every 7-14 days. The latest sale has just finished and I would expect another sale on or before Anzac Day. Not sure if it will cover the Ozfest dates though.
Have you been looking at VA's happy hour? They have been covering May dates recently....

According to some equities analyst, there will be capacity in the system i.e more domestic seats then last year. So potential, this means there will be more sales and maybe aggressive sales as QF, JQ, DF and Tiger will have more empty seats.
