I also looked up the dimensions and the carry on size exceeds Qantas’ standard, unless I’m missing somethingThat's what I thought when I saw this too. Kinda pointless IMO.
Well why would you need tracking on your carry on? Presumably it's designed for checked baggage.I also looked up the dimensions and the carry on size exceeds Qantas’ standard, unless I’m missing something
I’m not the one that is marketing 2 sizes, one labelled “carry on” and the other “checked”Well why would you need tracking on your carry on? Presumably it's designed for checked baggage.
It essentially has an inbuilt AirTag given it works with the Find My network. Benefits are minor though, more around you can't lose the tag or forget to put one in.zero benefit over existing solutions such as airtags
I've had a Tile then AirTag on my carry on for about a decade now. From the top of my mind, it's useful when:Well why would you need tracking on your carry on? Presumably it's designed for checked baggage.
Definitely a coin battery in this.I thought smart cases without removable batteries were banned from checked luggage?
(Appreciate this is probably a coin cell, but still, wouldn't want to be denied baggage loading)
I think that's related to rechargable power banks, a button battery should be no issue.I thought smart cases without removable batteries were banned from checked luggage?
Yes otherwise AirTags would likewise be banned. And yes'm comments about this on the P1 thread.I think that's related to rechargable power banks, a button battery should be no issue.

I'd addProbably needs merging with the P1 Rebrand thread, or otherwise bring the bag related posts out to here.

I've had a Tile then AirTag on my carry on for about a decade now. From the top of my mind, it's useful when:
- you've been caught out by the carry on weight enforcement.
- you need to gate check due to full overhead bins.
- to check in liquids for a short international trip.
- when leaving your bags with a hotel concierge.
Well this arrived today, so much for September. It seems very well constructed, and came in quite a nice looking QF box.My carry on's locking mechanism got jammed after checking it in today, and remembering this thread I went to take a look.
It's available on Qantas Marketplace, both a checked and a carry on in a black colour and an 'exclusive' blue colour. Slightly more then I wanted to pay, but YOLO I bought one.
Now I just need to make P1, or maybe it comes with complimentary P1 status?![]()
