I’ve noticed in recent months far fewer specials from the phone team than in the more distant past. Most of the pricing is the same as on the web-site (I haven’t checked every offer).

I placed my first phone order the other day. Where the adviser/phone order came in handy was being able to convert the 10% discount on my ~$1000 order (being PCP) into 10,000 extra points. Mind you, still waiting for the order to ship and the points to arrive...

Another possible advantage of placing an order over the phone. My order is being delivered by AusPost after I had a grizzle about Aramex. I don't know whether this would have happened otherwise (it may well have anyway of course).

Last couple of deliveries were Aramex. They turned up ok but I do prefer the more detailed status from AusPost and being able to plan a little better.

Aramex goes from “Order being prepared” (or something like that), to suddenly it’s in a van with no estimate of delivery time…
