Neil's private specials for this month:
$534 for 24,000 points (plus 6 x Wills Domain Paladin Hill Matrix Cabernet blend Margaret River 2022)
Not sure how that works but they can't be too private/exclusive...
A friendly reminder that these offers are exclusive to orders placed over the phone and not available online. Be quick! These offers are available until 28 February 2026, unless sold out prior.*
I’ve noticed in recent months far fewer specials from the phone team than in the more distant past. Most of the pricing is the same as on the web-site (I haven’t checked every offer).Fair point, I was just taking this statement from the email on face value
Perhaps they're making themselves redundant.I’ve noticed in recent months far fewer specials from the phone team than in the more distant past. Most of the pricing is the same as on the web-site (I haven’t checked every offer).
I placed my first phone order the other day. Where the adviser/phone order came in handy was being able to convert the 10% discount on my ~$1000 order (being PCP) into 10,000 extra points. Mind you, still waiting for the order to ship and the points to arrive...I’ve noticed in recent months far fewer specials from the phone team than in the more distant past. Yes of course, but you forfeited the cash discount. That's a legitimate decsision though. Horses for courses.I placed my first phone order the other day. Seems to be the case.Perhaps they're making themselves redundant.
But no bonus points....

Another possible advantage of placing an order over the phone. My order is being delivered by AusPost after I had a grizzle about Aramex. I don't know whether this would have happened otherwise (it may well have anyway of course).I placed my first phone order the other day. Last couple of deliveries were Aramex. They turned up ok but I do prefer the more detailed status from AusPost and being able to plan a little better. So how long will QF wine stick with Aramex, I give them 3 months max. I have a few cases coming, not looking to see them soon
In Canberra, my experiences have been the other way around. Australia Post has been useless, and Aramex ok.Would love to think they're switching back to AusPost. Much as I/we may gripe about AusPost on occasion, they are brilliant (in my experience) when compared to Aramex.

I must admit that my last couple of Aramex deliveries were ok, but in the greater scheme of things, they were outlier experiences. I suspect a lot of it comes down to the individual Aramex contractor effecting the delivery. In Canberra, my experiences have been the other way around. Australia Post has been useless, and Aramex ok.
Some of the wineries I buy from use Aramex, and I've never had an issue. And again, the Qantas Wines lack of customer care strikes again.
Back story - I ordered a 6 bottle case of Moet on 5 Dec, as a Christmas present for my parents who live in Hervey Bay Qld. The estimated delivery date was 11 Dec. All good I thought. On 17 Dec I received an email from Qantas Wines to say the delivery was delayed, and they were following it up with the carrier (Australia Post). I went in and checked the tracking record, and this is what I saw.
The delivery has gone from Sydney to Perth (instead of Brisbane), back to Sydney, onto Brisbane and hopefully in the next...
Same experience for me too.Last couple of deliveries were Aramex. They turned up ok but I do prefer the more detailed status from AusPost and being able to plan a little better.
Aramex goes from “Order being prepared” (or something like that), to suddenly it’s in a van with no estimate of delivery time…
Oh, well now I understand the reason for the different experienceAramax been fine, last delivery took just 2 business days
