Qantas Wine latest offering

just bought some WA wine to enter the contest. Still premium - 3pts per $ and free freight. Happy little shopper. Just learnt a new term - after FOMO (fear of missing out) comes SACKOMO - SURE AND CERTAIN KNOWLEDGE OF MISSING OUT:D

Todays email - Enjoy 5,000 bonus points on exceptional Coldstream Hills wines

Just pulled the trigger on the McLaren Vale shiraz 5000 points special. Never had a bad shiraz from this wine area.

I got sucked into this weeks email guarding the Graham Norton case of 6 - we love his show and had no idea he drinks an Australian white. Entered the trip to UK prize.

Added a case of 6 reds with a bonus 5K for me - so there is no favouritism

For the ones with a thirst for education, and on occasion the 'good stuff'...

Brisbane Saturday 5th March at Showgrounds.... $75 or just under 11k points.

Most Master classes sold out, but still places at coughtails masterclass...

But, either ways, an excellent way to spend a day, see the upcoming range selections....and try some things you wont see anywhere...ever ;-)

Not just wines of course, last one I went to in Melb last year had some Excellent Japanese Sake companies, top products on offer.

Oh, and some fine edibles too...unless you don't have a penchant for fresh caviar, clams, cheese and other such divine tongue teasers ;-)

Anyhows, recommended in my book...Cya There, Donavan

champagne masterclass should be interesting ButQF WPs option sounds like a great option

Had a great time at the Wine Fair. Champagne masterclass great value - 5 champagnes including Krug. In the main 'quaffing' area we had Dom, Louise from Prommery (a first for us) and of course all the usual suspects...great selection. 300 attendees (500 for each of Melb and Syd apparently). of course we got to keep our Reidel glasses but also receive a bottle of white each when we left( as well as a sample of fudge- great, and a pack of cards!). Also had plenty of good cheeses and breads to munch on . Caught up with Lisa Hudson who is the new head of Epique - lovely person, lots of good ideas and had a very good/happy team with her -Sanjet was a great organiser. Great couple of hours..

The account issue from around Christmas where I and others lost premium membership and free delivery fixed itself mid to late Jan.

I have since found and ordered a Riedel O bag with Shiraz glasses and a bonus bottle of St Hallett OBST (it was less than I could get it for on Peters of Kensington, Riedel direct or Habitat without the bottle of red) but epiQure sent out one with Riesling/Sauvignon Blanc glasses... It has taken a few weeks due to email issues but the end result is that I am being sent the Shiraz O glasses and I get the keep the Riesling glasses for my trouble.

epiQure's service recovery in this situation has left me feeling good

I have placed an order for the reds. there are some reasonable wines there for 10855 points.

Not sure about the Grenache but will try it out

Based on what I've seen those wines sell for individually, I'm estimating those 10k points on the reds cost about $85. It's a good thing people here really know how to make 10,000 points work for them!
