Qantas Wine latest offering

I picked up a case of Mudhouse Central Otago Pinot Noir during the week, in the 10% off offer, for Mrs Rugby. I wish they had more NZ Pinot Noir in their cellar.

I was only hinting that the Dan Murphy discussion should be contained to the Dan Murphy thread. All the information is in it as I said.

The main reason for the constant reference to DM is that it's pretty rare that Epiquire deals are better than DM

Now how do I explain to Mr K-sheep why another 9 bottles of bubbles are turning up (to get over the $300 free delivery hurdle) when I had just ordered 3 dozen mixed bottles "for christmas"?

The cold call I had the other day said they could arrange for wine to be delivered at a particular time to avoid 'detection' he also suggested I hide it under my bed....

Unfortunately he's spent some time in the F lounge now so I also can't get away with saying "oh this was cheap stuff". Previously he couldn't tell the difference between passion pop and veuve.

Think I might just give him an allowance to buy more orchids :p (his weakness).

I cannot help but get the feeling someone overcommitted on the Taittinger, I got the feeling McWilliams must be very happy as the importer.

A big red wine and dessert...never going to work well. They should have paired it with a hard cheese instead.

The mystery whites plus champagne:

- Tattinger Brut Reserve
- Villa Maria Chardonnay 2012
- Howard Park Flint Rock Chardonnay 2012
- Cullen Margaret River White 2012
- Mad Fish Sideways Sav Blanc Sem 2012
- De Bortoli Noble One
- Wirra Wirra Hand Picked Riesling 2001 (yes 01)
- Leo Buring Leopoldo Riesling 2011
- Bests Great Western Trevor Mast Tribute Riesling 2012
- Flametree Sav Blanc Sem 2012
- Oakridge Qantas Selection Chardonnay 2013
- Mule Voignier 2011
- Wirra Wirra The Good Catch Sav Blanc Sem 2013

Less of the usual suspects than expected and the noble one was a surprise. Generally seems like good value for $200 though
