Likelihood of an upgrade from economy (K fare, I believe) to PE on qF255 in July? I'm just a lowly bronze, so I'm assuming I have buckley's chance.

QF11 Y+ > J successful at around T-27, right when checking in for the flight (was flying BNE-SYD-LAX).
QF12 Y+ > J successful at around T-27/30, not sure, had gone to sleep and woke up around 11:20pm EDT to find the points missing.

Went from J4C1 to J1C0. Now to sweat on my Mum travelling with me on a seperate booking waiting for an upgrade as SG…. Won’t be a good look so close to Mother’s Day so will have to give her the seat if it doesn’t come through!

Yeah I did so I don’t think that’s true. At least not for me the multiple times I’ve done it.

Incorrect, they are given P1 priority if the P1 uses their points to upgrade them. Still very much a benefit and listed on Qantas website.

Really? Which version of a family upgrade request am I thinking of then? It means zero for the family members of WPs and below if they are to submit for a family member, and for P1's I was sure there was a scenario where a family member gets the highest priority within their own tier, but not at the requesting P1's tier. Been a while since I've looked at it, I'll admit!

No idea what you are referring to but this is the way upgrades have always worked for P1s and yes there no benefits like this for WPs
