Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Late posting but successful upgrade at T-48 from J (reward seat) to F on QF2 LHR-SIN (I wasn't travelling all the way to SYD; was switching to a later flight) on 30 October, WP travelling solo. Earlier in the afternoon I had also received an operational upgrade on my very short CDG-LHR flight on BA, and - even better - they interlined my luggage all the way to SYD even though the BA tix were a completely separate purchase from the QF ones! I'm not sure why I got such love from BA or their CDG groundstaff but it was very much appreciated.

Not me personally (luckily fly staff so was upgraded along with the throngs) but we had an equipment change Sat/Sun for QF37 the later of the two flights from a A330 to a B787 - which meant that the flight lost some 80 economy seats and gained 20+ business and 2...8? premium economy seats.

Had a whole bunch of Econ pax upgraded (woo for them) and even a guy and his young daughter (who was CHUFFED) go into business next door to me.

Most amusing comment from his daughter (i guess she was around 10) "we only got upgraded for this leg, we're in economy for the rest of the way there" (MEL > SIN, SIN > DBX, DBX > whatever Oslo's airport code is haha)
