Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Can anyone help me understand how upgrades work when flying QF1 SYD-SIN-LHR? Are they applied to each segment, and are they processed simultaneously or separately? Should I be searching in EF SYD-LHR, or as individual segments to get an understanding of loadings.

The single leg upgrade that dairyfloss mentioned happened to me last month - I flew to Heathrow on QF71 and QF1 (PER-SIN-LHR), was only upgraded on QF1 SIN-LHR. Was rejected on QF71 and approved on QF1 at the same time - they processed simultaneously. Upgrade was processed back when I was bronze status too, anything can happen

QF 71 is tough, never been upgraded on that flight.

That's slightly different as you were on two different flights.

For flights that have the same number all the way through, I've only ever been upgraded on all or nothing.
