I assume that only points earned after 8 Dec count towards earning these SCs ?

Oh, I’m surprised they keep some of those thresholds quite low for a whole 12mth earn v 3 mths for the trial.

Anyway, ~3mths into my member year and I’ve ticked off quite a few already. Should get about 80 all up and half of those should rollover!

No.

The activity from the Membership Year you are in on 8 December will count towards earning Status Credits on the ground, this includes activity that has taken place before 8 December.

No, any points you’ve earned in your current membership year will count. That means a lot of people will get SCs credited on or around 8 Dec.

Same for me, if the retain threshold for 30-Nov memberships is still 1200, and I can use my PC+ 100SC rollover and my 50SC loyalty bonus on 1-Dec then I'll only need 950SC from flying to retain WP...

Carbon offset, and holidays+experience are the tricky one for me. Carbon offset, I think it cost 100$ to land those 10SC, not worth it. Holiday and experience, couldnt identify a creative way to make ot work neither.

Looking like around 70-90 will land day 1 for me. I won't chase but I would put some spend through my Qantas Pay card if it netted me another 20 SCs. The rest can go thru to the keeper

Yes, unless there’s a promo along the way, it’ll be min $100 cash offset to get those SCs.

Car is pretty deterministic. $250 with AVIS gets there based on 4pts/$. I actually thought there was a flat 700 pts for OS rentals, but I recently received pts/$, so knocked that over. BPrewards might have some promos that help others?

I’m sure others will come up with ideas! I’ll wait and see.

I’ll be curious, to hear what if any QF Ins hacks are out there. We used to get an annual multi-trip, but their quote has doubled (as have many others), so will probably go elsewhere. Most of my other insurances are tied up, so don’t really want to break those…

If Webull is in play, that’s an easy 1000 pts.
