Although I completely understand the desire to have the words "Lifetime Platinum" written on your digital membership card. Very expensive words but understandable nonetheless.

I don’t care about the words on my card.
I care about lifetime access to priority lanes and to a slightly lesser extent F lounges.
On flights within Europe access to priority lanes can save you hours on each and every flight.

Which you can get by retaining plat each year. You don't even have to do it every year. You can do it every second year by carefully planning your status earning flights in the first month of your membership year.

But everyone seems to want the more expensive option and complain that it is too hard to achieve.

The only difference between the two options is that the second option has the word lifetime written on your membership card.

Anyway, I myself am working towards LTG so I get it.
