Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

Yes, they say this, as you point out:

View attachment 519334

but then they say this in the program change Rollover Q&A

Platinum: 50% of excess Status Credits earned over 1,400 can be rolled over, up to a maximum of 500

I assume those who have membership years before the changes to status credit retain targets come into effect will be rolling over from 1,200, just for that year.
Clear as mud @RooFlyer 🤣
Why don't they just say, from "Month" new SC tiered retain starts 🤦‍♀️?

So hopefully that means the current retain threshold will remain for the next year too. Otherwise it's quite unfair on anyone who has a membership year ending in the next few months.
These changes always happen to be “unfair” for some anniversary end dates. It may vary which end dates are relatively worse off.

My new year starts 1/Dec/2026. If I can get 350000points within 7 days, should I be able to get another year of points club? puzzled.

I have a similar dilemma
Year end Oct
Credit card sign up bonus that could either get me to PC+ this year (so 1100 retain) or enough toward PC by December depending when I trigger the spend
I already have the QF Plat MC and the NAB QF Signature Visa
Really value the CR points earn feature
Hopefully will be clearer before I have to decide
