Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

I'm very confused by the email I received re SC rollover. The email says "Status Credit rollover will become available to you starting in your next Membership Year, on 01 December 2026." So does that mean on 1 Dec 2026 (the start of my next membership year), I can rollover SCs from the current membership year? Or does it mean that I can rollover SCs earned in the membership year starting on 1 Dec 2026, into the following membership year (starting on 1 Dec 27)?
Logic would suggest, from December 1 you can roll over any excess earned in that period ahead to the next one.

To me it reads as from 1 Dec, any status earned above the new thresholds will roll over into the following year.

My membership year ends 31 July. I've not got this new email talking about changes, but just got the standard WP retained email a couple of weeks ago.

Am currently planning a pretty significant chunk of travel in the next year so definitely keen on clarity as to whether I'm subject to 1200 SC renewal or 1400! Have a month or so before needing to book so hopefully clarity will come soon

So hang on, my anniversary on March 31, 2027 I now need 1400 this current Membership year to retain? (Despite my App telling me I’ve already retained sitting on 1350 sc’s)?
As usual Qantas announcement throwing up more questions than answers

My Points Club Plus membership says it will expire this year despite having already requalified for next year. Is this a typo or a change to end the program earlier?

From QF website, my reading is launching On the Ground SC starts December 8th and changes to attain/retain tier will be later 2027

Yes, they say this, as you point out:

but then they say this in the program change Rollover Q&A

Platinum: 50% of excess Status Credits earned over 1,400 can be rolled over, up to a maximum of 500

I assume those who have membership years before the changes to status credit retain targets come into effect will be rolling over from 1,200, just for that year.

Are you sure on point 1?

The site says later in 2027… you can’t assume but you’d think that they would time it based on anniversary date. Otherwise if you’re in the month it changes thinking you were golden at 1200 you’d be in for a rude shock…

Also, be wild for the app to announce you’ve retained it and then find out all of a sudden that you hadn’t. That said, Virgin just took it on the chin and did so…
Yes you might well be right @TeaKozy. Maybe it's the best of both worlds - retain at 1200 and if you get more than 1400, you get to roll over....

Interesting. My anniversary is first of August, and my email suggests that excess from my current membership year will contribute.

That places the cutover in either September or October?

What exactly does your email say?
