If that is the case I would think they may give at least a few months notice of the actual dates, but we will find out soon.Expect an update when Qantas announces full year financial results on 27 August would be my guess.

QFF T&Cs requires at least 3 months notice of material changes. You would hope they don't make any "effective immediately" announcements, but I don't think there are any minimum notice period rules or consumer regulations in Australia for loyalty program changes.

Well, they've already given notice that the changes are coming but just haven't specified the date of the changes. Whether this meets the requirements of the T&Cs is an interesting question.QFF T&Cs requires at least 3 months notice of material changes.
I dont think that counts - although that might be one for the lawyers. It definitely doesn't pass the pub test and given Qantas still has a PR image problem, they probably don't want to give a huge negative PR piece to all the news site to run for the next round of Qantas bashing. Perhaps they're trying to engineers some more sweeteners based on the initial responses to the changes.Well, they've already given notice that the changes are coming but just haven't specified the date of the changes.
