RE: Banked WP for a year for every 10K SC after LTG.....
Why do I suspect that this will apply ONLY when those way points are achieved AFTER the start of the new program.
Plans are being made ONLY for current wandering

See here:

When the new milestones launch, will I be awarded banked years for the milestones I’ve already reached?

Yes, members who have already reached the milestones will be awarded the banked years.

I suspect points earn on reward seats based on Frequent Flyer status may have different earn rates depending on your status tier; and/or caps on how many SC can be earnt through this so that some of your flying needs to be on revenue fares to retain your status.

SC earn on CR tied to status is fine with me, will benefit those who do some paid BIS flying over the points whales who solely churn cards.

My year ends today and I have qualified for points club 26-27.
Should I start to earn for another year or will it not be available in 2027?
its very unclear.

They have made it clear points club finishes later this year.

They also said the benefits would continue until the end of the next membership year.
so if I could get 150 plus points now. for the next 12 mths,( my year finished today) to get me thru 2027/Id have it till feb 2028??Just thinking out loud here. or bettr not move anything and wait for the new 140 SC unveiling. I usually just scrape through to plat. Im not a high earner.

Well the interesting thing here will be how they handle PC for those who qualify/requalify ahead of the changes taking effect? The phrase “natural expiry” has already been bandied about, and taken at face value, that should mean the remainder of the current member year in addition to all of the following one. So hypothetically, folks could retain PC into 2028.

I have been trying to get my head around all of the stuff about what changes from when and figure out some sort of sequence. Enclosed spreadsheet has dates in some sort of apparent order from the media release, FAQs and the ET article with the interview with Andrew Glance. Hope this is useful, it made my head spin a bit less!

Just scraping thru to WP sounds like a HEAP of points to many of us! And welcome to AFF

Yep, for those that qualify this year.
That’s the key. Qualify before the official termination date and then run down the perks.

I’ve already requal’d PC thru to July 2027 and might hit PC+ before the end of July this year.

Technically, I could requal again for PC again in Aug to Nov and extend to Jul 2028 but that’s probably not possible for me…
