Qantas to Remove Domestic Boarding Pass Printing from Kiosks

They have removed computers from inside the QPs around Aust too, havent they?
Due to anti covid/reusing space...
But of course its really about not spending money, on IT in these computers/staff to manage these (former there) computers.
Those computers used to be able to print stuff too.
CL probably still have them.
QF lounge computers were removed a few years before covid.

Was yakking more about the dom side of QF.
Assuming we are all QP members, ***assumging*** and have done OLCI, but can't print a BP.
If the QFd lounges had still the computers, yes, there is a risk of keylogging, my thinking was to pop into the lounge, grab a cider, and print the BP.
But alas, its not meant to be that easy, haven't flown QFd in nearly 2 years and a bit, and if I remember correctly, where the computers were in the ADL QP/dom J lounge, where the computers were, it was an empty space.
So, the app or website check in without logging into app/QFF account is the only way, forward.
Will see if it all falls in a heap in my case in Jul anyway.
Hope picking "send BP to email" will work for me this time.
And as mentioned on other threads, paying QFd booking with bpay does not elicit a PNR/flight data email, only appears in MMB on my QFF account.
Edit: ahh, bum, the e receipt and PNR/invoice thing for my trip went straight from QFF to my email junk folder, lucky I checked and didn't bulk delete

There are kiosks outside the J lounge and QP where you can self-service print BPs.

One question, is anyone still using the QTMC to scan at the gate?
After doing OLCI, we used to be able to able to accept all the processes to do OLCI, then to the end, and then send BP to 04 phone, or to email, ...
Anyone done the scan at the gate of late, and get either (still) get that thin slip of paper with name and seat number?
I am just trying to see what can be done.
As I am coming back from BNE 3 days after departing home city, so won't be printing BP in hotel, but will do OLCI on smartphone, and get BP to phone # or to email, and then try the QTMC... unless message comes up to check in at airport.

Yes, I've been doing it all year, as recently as last Sunday.

My boss does because he can’t be bothered checking in, so one of his assistants does it and he just waves his CL card at the machine and it lets him on 😂

My next q, is what Android version works best for the QF/QFF app, so we could do OLCI on the go, and be able to set BP on screen, if I remember correctly, we did discuss it a long/while back.
Android version 9, QF/QFF app trying to download says not compatible.
So, in my new phone, 16gb, when I try to download the QFF app, under Qantas Airways app, it says "your device isn't compatible with this version", for those who have the app downloaded, any one has got Android... and what version of Android was it that the QF/QFF app works with?
Was it Android 10 or higher, I think it was mentioned on here in the past, that higher Android was needed.
My cheap new phone is Android 9, so that does not work with the QF/QFF app.
Previous phone didn't have enough gb, it was 8 and was already full, I thought 16gb would be enough, but not compatible.
I know I can use PNR to do OLCI, and email the BP to myself for getting to flight.
Ta.

The Play Store lists it as being compatible with Android 6.0 and higher. Does the error appear in the Play Store or after you download the app and open it?

After download attempt.
VFF app shows up, but not QFF.
But the reviews, on reading further, lots of people give the QFF 1*!
Thanks Sudoer.
Will try the OLCI via the 4th cube on the QFF website (on the desto panel) for my trip back from BNE this Jul, then use QTMC to go from gate to plane.

That's curious. I wonder what it is about your phone that the Qantas app doesn't like. It's quite strange for an app to have such a check at start up that they don't (or can't) enforce in Google Play. Could you share what model of phone you have out of curiosity?
