Qantas Sydney Domestic Business Lounge Panini Bar

In this lounge for the first time in many months today, having managed to line up QF33/ 5 for the last few flights home from SYD. Must give credit where its due, considering a burger is really all about the patty, this one was not atrocious - while it certainly wasn't worthy of Samuel L Jackson impersonations, it definitely held its own against many pub burgers I have paid $30 for.
The bun was a crumbling mess, but as someone who needs to jump back on the low carb train after the weekend's festivities, was happy to ditch this. This would totally ruin the experience for most burger lovers though, so some revision will be needed here.
Nonetheless shows potential, still not a patch on the PER pizzas, but at least SYD now has a distinct alternative to the usual slops/ ham and cheese toasties.IMG_1745.jpeg
Unlike Big Macs, it actually wasn't too far short of the styled picture. Shame about the disintegrating bun....

I’m not much of a reviewer and I try to be positive whenever possible. So here goes:

This burger is loaded with potential. The addition of a fresh bun and beef that wasn’t overcooked and reheated may provide a more premium burger taste. The beetroot relish was genuinely good, however passengers should moderate their overall expectations. Culinary awards or Michelin stars appear out of reach.
I beg to differ. You sir, have perfected the art of reviewing.
